Events offered by the GD
Seminars combined with practical Exercises

The Gesellschaft für Dermopharmazie extends its offer of events by a further event form: starting fall of this year besides annual meetings, symposia and workshops also seminars concerning special subjects are offered accompanied by practical exercises. The first seminar of this kind deals with modern analytical methods for the development, quality assurance and stability tests of dermatics and cosmetics. The seminar takes place on 16 and 17 October at the Institut für Pharmazeutische Technologie (Institute for Pharmaceutical Technology) of the Technical University Brunswick. The scientific organization is with professor Dr. Rolf Daniels, the head of the GD department Dermocosmetics.

In the frame of development, quality assurance and stability testing of prescriptions for dermal applications, a series of modern analytical methods can be applied today to obtain information about the structure of such preparations. In particular the registration of changes caused by prescription modifications or the production process as well as the early recognition of instabilities represent a major challenge.

The GD organizes its first practice seminar at the Institut für Pharmazeutische Technologie (Institute for Pharmaceutical Technology) at the Brunswick University on 16 and 17 October 2002. Subjects of the seminar are modern analytical methods for the development, quality assurance and stability testing of dermatics and cosmetics.

Imparting of Knowledge and Experience Exchange

In the seminar on 16 and 17 October first of all the theoretical background of numerous methods which are specific for this field is examined. As a result, opportunities and limits of the methods are demonstrated as well as information given concerning the evaluation respectively assessment of the results. Following, in small groups the single methods are shown in practical application and application-relevant assessment of the results consolidated. Here there is the possibility to discuss special questions by the participants and develop ideas for problem solutions. Special importance is attached on an intense experience exchange between the seminar participants and lecturers.

The seminar is intended for persons employed in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry as well as employees of raw material suppliers, test institutes and contract manufacturers concerned with dermal prescriptions in the field of development, production, quality control/quality assurance who are concerned with dermal preparations.
